So it turns out that the Bride did have a legitimate concern over her missing gifts - it turns out some low-life at the wedding went up to their gift table and took some of the envelopes that inevitably contained cash. Talk about invoking the great Karmic wheel to come crashing down on your head!!!
However, it does put the Bride in an ever-increasingly-sticky social situation. How do you contact your guests to make sure that they have sent a gift and that it definitely has been received? Do you blanket email them the situation? Do you send very nice cards to those whose gifts are missing?
What would you do?
