No Naps and Dr. No

As you all know, we started preschool, and as we were late to register, got the afternoon class.

Afternoon class is approximately the same time as Big-A's afternoon sleep. So we are plunging headlong into weaning Big-A off of his naps.

The result is I have created a Monster.

Dr. "NO!" appears at around 3:30, and sticks around until right before bedtime. He is placated only by copious quantities of Thomas and Bob the Builder (Yes! We Can!) and being read to out of his fave book du jour, The Night Pirates. He is obstinate with black circles, stamping his feet and jumping on the bed with a saucy "What are you going to do about it?" look in his eye.

So far, we have survived, and we are nap free six days and counting. The bonus is Big-A L-O-V-E-S his preschool, and throws huuuuuge temper tantrums when it comes time to leave. He rarely says goodbye to me, barely acknowledges me leaving, and I am thrilled that he is so very into school.

And did I mention he is now asleep by seven p.m.?!?!?!?
