I think we have hit the saturation point with the Olympics! The other morning, Big-A came in, still half asleep and dreaming, saying "Mommy, I need to go Downhill Skiing".
Yesterday it was: "Mommy, I need to Bobsleigh".
He is also fascinated by Curling, and the curling rocks. There was a curling demonstration at the Surrey Olympic venue, and he and his Dad threw 'rocks' and had a grand old time!
We are going to different areas of the city every day or so, doing small bits, as the crowds eventually get a bit crazy, and so far it has been a fantastic experience. The Greater Vancouver attractions at Lonsdale Quay, Surrey, Burnaby and others don't hold a candle to downtown, but nonetheless are good if you want a kinder, gentler Olympic experience.
I just cannot get over it. The city is absolutely humming with an electric energy I have never, ever seen before. And the vibe is so positive and happy, it really makes you proud to be a Canadian!

Just don't let him on the track up at Whistler! I love the city, and miss it already. It's so much more fun than school haha.
